Coach Rahn played basketball and went to school locally at Vintage High School and Napa Valley College before transferring to Cal State Fullerton. While at CSUF, back-to-back season ending injuries during training for the CSUF Men’s program kept him from continuing at the college level. After graduating from CSUF in 2008, Rahn began coaching youth basketball and progressed to the High School level a few years later at Brea-Olinda High School. During this time, Rahn would also try-out and make the team for the Orange County Novastars, a semi-professional team in the ABA.
Once deciding to make coaching basketball his career, Coach Rahn accepted an assistant position at Pacific Union College in 2013, a 4-year Liberal Arts College that competes in the NAIA. Since being named PUC's Head Coach the following year, Coach Rahn has directed his team to school records for most wins in a season, best win%, and the first ever Conference Tournament Championship Title and National Tournament appearance for any sport in PUC history. Over the span of the last four seasons, Coach Rahn has become the winningest coach in PUC history and has generated more wins in four seasons than the previous 10-plus year win total in PUC'S history as an NAIA program.
Coach Rahn is currently going into his fifth season as Head Coach of the Men’s program at PUC, as well as his fifth year with the Golden State Warriors as a Youth Camp Coach/Trainer. This has provided an opportunity for him to work basketball camps all over the Bay Area including the Stephen Curry Overnight Camp, as well as the Overnight Camps with Draymond Green, Jordan Bell, Zaza Pachulia and Shaun Livingston. Coach Rahn has also worked with Five-Star Basketball conducting camps in California during the Summer. Coach Rahn has trained numerous players in skill development from youth to ESPNU Top 100 and overseas professional players.
